HOW TO DO IT
  1. 01Set the hands about a hand span from the wall, shoulder width, fingers spread.
  2. 02Walk the feet up the wall while stepping the hands closer until the chest faces the wall.
  3. 03Stack the ribs over the hips and squeeze the glutes to remove the arch.
  4. 04Push the floor away and elevate the shoulders so the ears are covered.
  5. 05Hold and breathe, then walk down before the position degrades.
COACHING CUES
  1. 01Push the floor away, tall through the shoulders.
  2. 02Ribs down, squeeze the glutes, toes pointed.
  3. 03Grip the ground with the fingertips to hold the line.
COMMON MISTAKES
  1. 01Ribs flaring into a banana shape, which loads the lower back and trains a line you will have to unlearn later.
  2. 02Sinking into the shoulders, which parks the load on passive structures instead of building the pushing strength you want.
  3. 03Holding past failure, which teaches the compensations rather than the position; end the set while it still looks clean.

Note: Reference material, not a prescription. Load, volume and whether this movement suits you at all depends on your assessment — if something hurts, stop and get it looked at.
